Apple Fitness+ Will Launch on Monday, Dec. 14
Originally announced in September, Apple has announced that Apple Fitness+ will officially launch next Monday, Dec. 14.
On-Demand Workouts
The on-demand fitness service works in tandem with Apple Watch. At launch, the service will offer 10 workout types including High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT), Strength, Yoga, Dance, Core, Cycling, Treadmill (for running and walking), Rowing, and Mindful Cooldown.
During each workout, you’ll see personal metrics on the screen from your Apple Watch. And for added motivation, the Burn Bar will show in teal time who your effort stacks up against other users who completed the same workout.
To start a workout, you can select different options like trainer, time, and workout. The service will also recommend workouts. New content will be added weekly.
You can access workouts on an iPhone, iPad, and Apple TV.
Apple Fitness + costs $9.99 per month or $79.99 per year. Anyone who purchases an Apple Watch Series 3 or later will receive a free, three-month trial. Existing Apple Watch users can try out the service for a month for no charge.
The service is also included in the Apple One Premier plan. For $29.99 per month, you’ll also receive Apple Music, Apple TV+, Apple Arcade, Apple News+, and 2TB of iCloud storage.
