Cupertino Makes It Easier to Find Apple HomeKit Accessories Online
It’s now much easier to find Apple HomeKit accessories. As of today, March 13, Cupertino has introduced a new website that lists current and future HomeKit accessories.
The list that “keeps getting smarter” shows worldwide brands that offer accessories that are compatible with HomeKit and Apple devices. You’ll find products listed under one of 15 categories, including lights, windows, and locks. Each device listed offers a product link, where applicable, with upcoming products marked as “Announced.”
Until now, finding HomeKit-compatible products was a difficult task, at best. Prior to this, Apple’s website only listed HomeKit-compatible products found through its online store.
There’s also an updated HomeKit explainer page where you’ll find more information about the interworkings between Siri, automation, and iOS 10’s Home app. You’ll also find the following video:
First announced at the Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) in 2014, Apple HomeKit currently supports around 100 devices with more being added monthly.
