Apple is Making it Easier to Download Apple TV Apps From an iOS Device or Computer

In a new note posted to the developer center, Apple announced that developers (or anyone else) can now create a link to a tvOS app using the iTunes Link Maker.

With the link, users can view tvOS apps on their iPhone, iPad, and through iTunes on a Mac or PC.

Anyone who has enabled their Apple TV to automatically install apps can download a title directly to their streaming box.

Before Apple unveiled the new feature, you could only view a tvOS app if it also was in the iOS App Store.

So this new development is great for anyone who uses an Apple TV. Late last month, at the MacBook Pro media event, Apple’s Tim Cook said that there are now more than 10,000 apps available for the fourth-generation device.
