Apple Pay Is Now Available in Spain

You can add another country to the list of markets where Apple’s mobile payment service is supported. And that’s because Apple Pay has just launched in Spain.

As in other supported countries, Apple Pay in Spain lets users link their credit and debit cards to their compatible devices to pay for goods and services in stores, in apps, and on websites that support the system.

In Spain, Apple Pay works in partnership with American Express and MasterCard. Initially, credit and debit cards issued by American Express, Banco Santander (MasterCard cards), Carrefour Financial Services, and Edenred (Ticket Restaurant cards) may be used with the service.

Establishments in Spain where Apple Pay transactions are already accepted include Apple Store, Bershka, C&A, Carrefour, Cepsa, Cortefiel, Fifty Factory, Ginos, Lidl, Massimo Dutti, Media Markt, Oysho, Pedro del Hierro, Pull & Bear, Sephora, Springfield, Starbucks, Stradivarius, Repsol, T.G.I. Fridays, The Wok, Uterqüe, VIPS, VIPSmart, Women’s Secret, Zara, and Zara Home. BP and FNAC are expected to support Apple Pay soon.

Apple Pay can also be used in Spain for transactions on supported websites and in compatible iOS apps, including Apple Store, Comprea, EasyJet, Etsy, HotelTonight, Resident Advisor, Showroom Prive, Trainline, Vueling, and Zara.

With its launch in Spain, Apple Pay is now available in 13 major regions. The other regions where the service is supported are, in order of local launch: the U.S., the U.K., China, Australia, Canada, Singapore, France, Hong Kong, Switzerland, Russia, New Zealand, and Japan.
