Apple has outbid other streaming giants and is now developing a new scripted series starring Reese Witherspoon and Jennifer Aniston. That’s according to a new report from The Hollywood Reporter.
The order is for two seasons, 20 episodes, of the scripted drama.
Currently untitled, the series will look at the look of morning show personalities. Both Witherspoon and Aniston will act as executive producers.
After previously focusing on music-related programs like “Carpool Karaoke: The Series,” the news continues to show that Apple is looking to branch out with other content to take on big players like Netflix and Amazon.
Apple is also reportedly developing an “Amazing Stories” anthology from executive producer Steven Spielberg.
