Apple Reveals Three New Console-Level Games for iPhone 15 Pro Series
The A17 Pro processor on the recently announced iPhone 15 Pro line is set to be great for gamers everywhere.
At yesterday’s event, Apple noted that the GPU is 20 percent faster than the A16 processor and includes a 6-core design to increase peak performance and energy efficiency.
Hardware-accelerated ray tracing is also another improvement in the chip and is four time faster than software-based solutions.
Capcom’s Resident Evil 4 and Resident Evil Village will arrive this year for the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max. The games will also be playable on any iPad or Mac with an M1 chip or later.
You’ll be able to download the game for free to see experience the gameplay and graphics before unlocking the full game with an in-app purchase.
Resident Evil 4 will support cross-platform progression on the iPhone, iPad, and Mac so you can play on an iPhone 15 Pro and then pick up later on the Mac or iPad. Resident Evil Village supports cross iPhone and iPad play.
In the remake of Resident Evil 4, you’ll join Leon S. Kennedy six years after surviving the biological disaster of Raccoon City. Now reporting directly to the President of the United States, he is dispatched to an isolated village to rescue the president’s missing daughter.
Resident Evil Village is set three years after Resident Evil 7. Once again, the Winters family is struck by tragedy after Ethan is forced to rescue his kidnapped daughter Rose.
Both games will support controllers and allow for multi-touch with on-screen controls to customize the gaming experience.
Assassin’s Creed Mirage will also arrive for the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max in early 2024.
The game is set in Baghdad during the 9th century and follows Basim Ibn Ishaq. It is more linear and story-focused and reduces the RPG elements found in newest installments of the series. It’s main campaign will last 15-20 hours.
