At today’s special media event, Apple unveiled the new HomePod mini.
The smaller speaker is powered by the same S5 chip found in the Apple Watch.
Just like the larger HomePod, the mini version is Siri enabled and you’ll be able to play music from a wide variety of sources. You can also interact with HomeKit products.
An interesting new feature is an intercom feature that allows you to send a message to all HomePods. It also works with other devices including iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, AirPods, and CarPlay.
HomePod mini is available in white and space gray. It costs $99. You can pre-order the speaker starting on Nov. 6. It will officially arrive on Nov. 16.
