Apple Unwraps New Mac Studio and Studio Display
To cap off today’s special media event, Apple introduced the new Mac Studio and Studio Display
Mac Studio
Mac Studio is an all-new Mac form factor powered by Apple silicon.
Buyers can select a version with the M1 Max or the completely new M1 Ultra. The M1 Ultra is the newest addition to the M1 lines and packs a serious power punch.
For example, the M1 Ultra can play back 18 streams of 8K ProRes 422 video. That’s something no other computer in existence can do. An M1 Ultra machine can also feature up to 128GB of memory.
The compass design features four Thunderbolt 4 ports, an HDMI port, and more. For quick access, there are two USB-C ports on the front of the Mac.
Mac Studio starts at $1,999 and can be ordered starting today. It will officially arrive on Friday, March 18.
Studio Display
Along with the Mac Studio, Apple also unveiled a Studio Display.
It’s a 27-inch 5K Retina display. And that’s not all. The display sports a 12-megapixel Ultra Wide camera with Center Stage. It’s also offers studio-quality mics and a six-speaker sound system.
The Studio Display is $1,599 and can be ordered starting today. It will officially arrive on Friday, March 18.
