Apple Unwraps New MacBook Pro Models With M3-Series Chips
Apple treated users with new Macs during tonight’s “Scary Fast” event.
Paint it Back With MacBook Pro
First up, Apple unveiled new MacBook Pro models with the M3, M3 Pro, and M3 Max chips.
The M3 chip provides another big step up for users. The base 14-inch MacBook with M3 is up to 60 percent faster than the 13-inch MacBook Pro with M1.
Models with the M3 Pro are up to 40 percent faster than the M1 Pro.
At the top of the food chain is the M3 Max that supports up to 128GB of unified memory and is up to 2.5 times faster than the M1 Max.
And the MacBook Pro models with M3 Pro and M3 Max are available in a space black or silver. M3 models will be available in silver and space gray.
The 14-inch MacBook Pro with M3 starts at $1,599. For a step up, the 14-inch MacBook Pro with M3 Pro starts at $1,999. The 16-inch MacBook Pro starts at $2,499.
All of the MacBook Pro models can be ordered starting today and will arrive on Tuesday, Nov. 7.
A Faster iMac
Desktop fans were not left out as Apple also introduced a 24-inch iMac with the M3 chip.
The 24-inch iMac with M3 is available to order starting today. It will officially arrive on Tuesday, Nov. 7.
An iMac with an 8-core GPU starts at $1,299 and features 8GB of memory and a 256GB SSD. It’s available in green, pink, blue, and silver,
A 10-core model starts at $1,499. Buyers can select from green, yellow, orange, pink, purple, blue, and silver. The starting model also sports 8GB of memory and a 256GB SSD.
