Apple Watch Series 6 is Here With Blood Oxygen Saturation Sensor and More

September 15, 2020

The new Apple Watch Series 6 has just been announced at today’s special media event.

A major addition is a new blood oxygen saturation sensor. That is another way to determine your heart and lung health.

The Series 6 is powered by the new S6 processor which is up to 20 percent faster than the previous generation. The always-on display is also brighter than in Series 5.

With the always-on altimeter, you’ll also be able to see that information at all times.

Just like with previous generations, the Apple Watch Series 6 will start at $399.

Along with the watch, Apple introduced the new Solo Loop that’s made from one piece of material that can be easily be removed from your wrist. There is also a braided Solo Loop made with recycled material.

Using the new Family Setup feature, you’ll also be able to pair Apple Watches for users without an iPhone. It’ll require an Apple Watch Series 4 with cellular service.

A just-unveiled Apple Watch SE is lower-cost version of the Series 6 and starts at $279.

Both models can be ordered starting today and will be available on Friday.
