Apple's App Store Celebrates Record-Breaking Month in November
Last month, Apple’s App Store celebrated a record-breaking month in terms of sales, according to Phil Schiller, the company’s senior vice president of worldwide marketing.
In a Twitter post on Wednesday, Schiller celebrated the news by noting:
November 2016 was a record breaker for the #AppStore – the highest monthly sales ever in App Store history!

Though Schiller didn’t give actual sales numbers, we know that historically the holiday quarter is the best on Apple’s annual calendar.
In January, Apple said that the 2015 Christmas season was the App Store’s “biggest ever,” seeing iOS app sales of a record-breaking $1 billion in total. More than likely, Apple will surpass that number this year.
Earlier today, Dec. 7, Apple announced the App Store’s best apps and games for the year. It also announced the best music, movies, and more.
Among the titles receiving awards are Reigns, Fullscreen, and TimePage for iPad. We’ll announce our picks beginning Dec. 15.
