Apple's Education Event Will Reportedly Focus on a New iPad, Software

Apple Rumors
March 23, 2018

Apple’s education event on Tuesday in Chicago will see a new lower-cost iPad and classroom specific software. That’s according to new report from Bloomberg.

The Chicago event won't be live streamed.

Along with a new, lower-cost iPad, the site says that Apple will unveil “new software for the classroom.” No more details were provided.

The invitation sent by Apple last week also indicates that the new iPads could be compatible with the Apple Pencil. Currently, the device only works with more costly iPad Pro models.

Another rumored new product, a revamped MacBook Air, might not be unveiled next week according to the report:

A new, cheaper MacBook laptop is in the works and likely destined to replace the MacBook Air at a price less than $1,000, but it probably won’t be ready in time for next week, the people said.

The event will kick off at 10 a.m. CDT at Lane Tech College Prep High School. Unlike most Apple events, there won’t be a livestream. But we’ll be keeping you informed about all the news and new products announced live.
