December 14, 2020

Apple has just released watchOS 7.2 and tvOS 14.3 to the general public.

Apple Watch users will need the software to use the just-launched Apple Fitness+ service.

Another new addition is a Cardio Fitness metric. The Apple Watch will inform you about changes to your Vo2 Max that measures oxygen your body consumes during a workout.

The update can be downloaded now through the companion Watch app on your iPhone by heading to General > Software Update in the My Watch portion of the app or on an Apple Watch.

Your watch needs to have more than 50 percent power and connected to a charger. Like most Apple Watch updates, it could take anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour to complete, so be patient.

The only new addition in tvOS 14.3 is the Fitness+ app that can be used with the just-launched service. Other changes are likely bug fix and other small improvements.

Both the Apple TV and Apple TV 4K can install tvOS 14.3

If you haven’t already enabled automatic updates, you can download the software by heading to Settings > System > Software Updates > Update Software. Right the button to update software is the toggle switch to turn on automatic updates.
