Even Smarter: August Home Doorbell Cam Pro Begins Shipping
The recently introduced August Home Doorbell Cam Pro has begun shipping. The device allows you to see and speak with visitors at your front door using your smartphone, even when you’re not home.
Featuring an integrated flood light for color nighttime video, the August Doorbell Cam Pro can be motion-triggered to scare away would-be thieves. The camera also includes HindSight, which captures video even before people approach or press the doorbell.
In doing so, the Doorbell Cam Pro records an entire motion event for added security. From there, you can replay, download, and share recordings from the free August app.

The $199 Doorbell Cam Pro operates using Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) and is available in silver or dark gray. The August Smart Lock Pro and August Smart Lock integrate with the August Doorbell Cam so that users can see and speak with visitors and let them in from a single app screen, for total control over the front door.
