Bear Writing and Note-Taking App Adds Custom Tag Icons, Archive Function and More
Popular note-taking and writing app Bear has just been updated to version 1.5 with a host of new features.
First up, users can now select their own TagCon for any and all tags. The small icons appear in popular tags in the app’s sidebar. There are 169 TagCons to select from.
Instead of having to completely delete notes, the new archive feature will remove notes from the Notes List. But they will still be searchable in the new Archive section in the sidebar.
The sidebar now also sports three other new section – Untagged, ToDo, and Today – that will allow you to quickly find specific notes.
Other new features include the ability to export all notes in a tag and support for more coding languages – AppleScript, YAML, and Clojure.
Bear is designed for the iPhone and all iPad models. It can be downloaded now on the App Store for free.
A Bear Pro subscription, which adds a number of different features including device syncing, application themes, and exporting is also available. It costs $1.49 per month or $14.99 per year.
The subscription will also unlock all the features on the macOS version of the app.
Apple Watch users can also take advantage of the app to view existing notes and use voice dictation to create new entries.
