December 19, 2019

A great third-party option to Apple’s stock Camera app, Camera+ 2, has added a number of new features with a recent update.

One of the biggest additions is a companion Apple Watch app. On the watch screen, you can set a five-second shutter timer or just press the shutter to snap an image on your iOS device.

You can now turn photos captured in Burst Mode into an animated GIF.

Any DNG images captured with the app can be shared with other apps. You can also export multiple DNG files at the same time.

A unique option of the app, torch mode, is also getting better. Instead of a flash, the mode turns on the rear flash like a flashlight. With the update, you can customize the brightness anywhere from 10 to 100 percent.

When editing, you can select multiple photos and paste edits to all of them at the same time.

Other new additions include gray card support and the ability to automatically capture an image with a date and time stamp.

Camera+ 2 is designed for the iPhone and all iPad models. It can be downloaded now on the App Store for $4.99.
