Apple has just announced on its developer blog that the maximum size for cellular app downloads has been increased to 150MB. The limit was previously 100MB.
Here’s Apple’s full announcement:
We’ve increased the cellular download limit from 100 MB to 150 MB, letting customers download more apps from the App Store over their cellular network.
The increase comes on the same day that Apple officially released iOS 11 to the public with a redesigned App Store and much more.
With the increasing number of unlimited data plans, at least here in the United States, the change should be welcomed news by both App Store customers and developers.
