CES 2018: Colgate Smart Toothbrush Uses Apple ResearchKit
While there are a number of app-enabled toothbrushes on the market, the recently announced Colgate Smart Toothbrush offers an interesting twist.
The Smart Toothbrush is available on Apple's site or at local Apple Stores.
With user permission, the toothbrush will use Apple’s ResearchKit framework to help gather anonymous data about toothbrushing habits to help improve future oral care products.
Thanks to Bluetooth, the toothbrush connects with the Colgate Connect app and will provide a 3-D brushing coach to create better brushing habits.
Real-time sensors and AI helps to detect brushing effectiveness in the 16 different zones of the mouth.
The Colgate Smart Toothbrush will be available for $99.95 starting today on Apple’s site and at local Apple Stores.
