Disney+ Adds SharePlay to Watch Content Over FaceTime With Friends
You can now enjoy SharePlay with the popular Disney+ app. The feature was added with a new update and first found by TechCrunch.
With the feature, app to 32 people can watch content from the subscription service together over FaceTime. You’ll start a FaceTime call and then open up the Disney+ app.
Playback controls are available for everyone including the ability to play, pause, rewind, or fast forward.
Everyone on the call can select the audio and subtitles of their choice when streaming. You can even watch content on on Apple TV while on a FaceTime call.
SharePlay is available with anyone with iOS and iPadOS 15.1 and later.
The Disney+ app is available to download now on the App Store for free. It’s universal for iPhone, iPad, and Apple TV.
You’ll need a subscription to watch content. A monthly subscription is $7.99. You can also purchase one year of access for $79.99.
