Download TikTok Now Before It's Gone in the United States
If you’ve ever wanted to try out TikTok, now would be the time to download the app if you’re in the United States.
Starting Sunday, the Commerce Department has announced that TikTok and WeChat can no longer be hosted by a U.S. App Store. That means that users can no longer download either app.
After that, TikTok will continue to work on the iPhone until Nov. 12 when the Trump administration is banning any Internet traffic from the app unless a proposed deal with Oracle is approved to alleviate national security concerns.
The situation is more dire with WeChat as the app will no longer work in the United States starting Sunday.
If you’ve downloaded TikTok before Sunday, the app will continue to work without issue. But there will be no further security updates or bug fixe.
