Facebook Launches New Kit Apple Watch App to Keep In Touch With Friends Using Messenger
Facebook has just released a new app for Apple Watch to make it easy to keep in touch with close friends and family with just a tap.
Kit (Keep in Touch) requires a Facebook Messenger account and was designed to help you keep in touch without having to constantly pick up your phone.
After downloading the app, you’ll log in by scanning a QR code on your watch or enter an access code at a Facebook site.
You’ll then pick a contact from recent and suggested users. To switch, just tap Change Contact in the settings page.
The app allows you to send a message with a tap using an audio recording, emoji, locations sharing, scribble, or dictation.
To see replies, just swipe right. You can also receive and respond to notifications from the selected contact.
While there is already a Facebook Messenger app for Apple Watch, Kit wants to make it easy to communicate with close contacts.
