Flipagram, the popular iOS app and network for creating videos using a mobile device like Apple's iPhone, has partnered with SoundHound, the music-detection iOS app, in order to make it easier than ever to add tracks into projects.
The partnership is pretty deep, and spans several new features which have been added to both Flipagram and SoundHound. For starters, in SoundHound song pages, users will now be able to access a “Create Music Video” button, allowing folks “to create Flipagram videos from music identified or searched for using the SoundHound app,” a recent press release explains. “This also enables all Flipagram users to explore SoundHound’s artist, album and song information and related content, providing a richer experience for audiences of both apps.”
Additionally, SoundHound will provide custom music data to the Flipagram platform, curating weekly charts showcasing the hottest trending tracks. Flipagram’s audience will have direct access to this content, making it easy to add the top SoundHound’ed songs to their Flipagram music videos.
It's a really nice partnership, and something users of Flipagram are going to appreciate. SoundHound itself is a smart piece of software, allowing users to not only tag tracks, but also to sing or hum a tune to their iPhone in order to have the application detect it.
Flipagram is an iOS app we first reviewed back in 2013, and at the time we loved its fun, quick-fire way of bringing your photographic stories to life; its Instagram integration turned our heads, and overall, it's an app we've been recommending to readers since.
You should be able to enjoy the new functionality in SoundHound imminently, so what are you waiting for? Download the app and start creating music videos with Flipagram right now. Flipagram is planning on further expanding its partnerships, too, so check back with us for more information on this as we receive it.
