Google Maps Now Supports Apple CarPlay in iOS 12

Anyone with iOS 12 installed on their iPhones can use Google Maps instead of Apple’s option on Apple’s in-car system. The app was just updated to version 5.0 with the addition.
Back at WWDC in June, Apple announced that third-party navigation apps like Google Maps can be used on CarPlay systems. We’re expecting a number of other third-party navigation apps, like Google’s own Waze, to also offer CarPlay support.
On the CarPlay display, Google Maps users can add destinations like nearby restaurants or gas stations and more.
Google Maps is designed for the iPhone and all iPad models. It can be downloaded now on the App Store for free.
