Griffin’s iTrip Clip Brings Bluetooth Connectivity To Any Wired Headphones
With the next-generation iPhone widely expected to be without a 3.5mm headphone jack, Griffin Technology is already stepping up to fill the void.
What a trip
Along with volume and playback controls, the iTrip Clip also features a built-in microphone.
The company has just announced the iTrip Clip that can turn any wired pair of headphones into a wireless set.
Users will plug their wired headphones into the small adapter than can connect to any Bluetooth-capable device. The adapter features a play, volume, and track control buttons. An integrated microphone will allow anyone to receive handsfree calls and even access Siri.
As a nice touch, the adapter will automatically connect to paired devices once in range, which is around 30 feet. The built-in battery can provide up to six hours of use and 180 hours of standby time. It can also be used in a car with an AUX in port but without Bluetooth capability.
