Stuck on a tough homework problem? Give this new app, Got It!, a try.
If you’re a student (or the parent of one), you probably know the particular stress of just not knowing how to solve a problem in math or science.
Some apps out there just give you answers when you snap a picture of a particularly knotty question, but Got It! is more than just an answer app.
Powered by an interesting on-demand marketplace, Got It! gets you instant 10-minute chat sessions with subject experts to help you solve the problem, step by step.
Sounds cool, right?
Snap A Photo
Getting help with your homework is a cinch here. Simply aim your iPhone (or iPad) camera at a tricky problem, snap a photo, and crop it so the whole issue you need help with is showing. Submit it to Got It! for an expert response.
Got It! isn't just for snapping photos of your own homework, but it has thousands and thousands of archived explanations that could help you for free! Simply swipe and tap your way to Featured Explanations and see what other students around the globe have been asking for help with, along with the step by step explanations.
You can get 10 mins with a subject matter expert for as low as $0.99 with credits. You can even earn free credits for solving some math problems, and you get eight of them free when you log in to Got It! for the first time.
According to the app developer, Christopher Obereder, the current tutor roster can cover content from high school to college. There are quite a lot of tutors checking in to help, too.
“We answered over 2.5 million problems already,” he told us in an email, “so we have quite a lot of experts and we have 24/7 coverage.”
Each session costs $1.99 (or $0.99 per session with the $29.99 VIP package), and users can get a free session with a daily quiz and friend referrals.
The service is fast, too, so you’re not stuck waiting all day or night for a response.
“Students are connected with an expert within 5-seconds,” said Obereder, “any time and any day — that is our main advantage.”
If you’re looking for homework help, and either are or know a student in high school or college, Got It! is worth a download now.
