Tim Cook Meets With Key iPhone X Supplier, Visits Normandy in France

Tim Cook is making the most of his time in France. On Monday, the Apple CEO shared a pair of photos from his trip to the country, which has included a visit to a key supplier and a stop at the Normandy American Cemetery and Memorial.
At Eldim, Cook visited “a team of talented engineers and craftspeople helping make iPhone possible.” Eldim, which is based in Normandy, provides key components for the Face ID technology found on the upcoming iPhone X.
At the cemetery, where 9,300 Americans are buried, Cook noted, “At Normandy, honoring those who made the ultimate sacrifice.”
Cook’s trip to France, only his second since becoming Apple’s CEO, will also include a visit with French President Emmanuel Macron.
