Keep Your Photos Private With the Blur iMessage App

Captured shots aren't saved to your camera roll and can expire

One of the funnest new features in the iOS 10 Messages app is the invisible ink effect. As the name suggest, you can hide any image or text when sending to the other person.

When received, the other party will need to gently touch the message to reveal the content. But a new iMessage app, Blur, takes that idea to the next level with images.

After downloading through Messages, using the app is quick and easy. You can either select to snap a new image or use an existing photo from your library.

When sent, the image lives up to its name is completely blurred out. As a Snapchat-like touch, you can also set the image to expire after 10 seconds of being seen.

If you select to take a photo with Blur, the image won’t be saved to your phone in any capacity.

The other party will need to have iOS 10 and Blur installed to see the image, adding another layer of privacy and security to the equation.
