Big Fish, 3 Minutes Games, and Elpix Entertainment have just officially announced that Lifeline: Whiteout will officially arrive on the App Store next week on Thursday, May 26.

In the game, players will be introduced to a new character – V. Adams. He’s stuck in a frozen wasteland, and you’ll need to help discover his past and salvage his future. You’ll be his only communication with the outside.

Just like the other games in the series, you’ll interact with V. Adams through real-time notifications. While the gameplay dynamic is familiar to anyone who has ever played a choose-your-own-adventure, the Lifeline series has been popular for a great reason.

The previous games have done a great job developing characters you’ll truly care about along with throwing in a great dose of suspense. And Lifeline: Whiteout looks to continue that tradition.

Along with being designed for the iPhone/iPod touch and all iPad models, the new game can also be played on the Apple Watch. Here’s an interactive preview from out sister site WatchAware.

The other games in the series – Lifeline, Lifeline 2, and Lifeline: Silent Night – are available to download now on the App Store for $1.99 each. Or you can pick up all three in an App Bundle for $3.99.
