Logitech Crayon and Rugged Combo 2 Are Only for Classrooms
During today’s education-themed event, Apple announced two new accessories for the lower-cost iPad – the Logitech Crayon and Rugged Combo 2.
The $49.99 Logitech Crayon is sporting some of the same technology in the Apple Pencil. It offers both tilt support and palm rejection and works with the same apps as the Apple device.
As a nice touch, it automatically pairs to the tablet and is designed with a flat surface that is easy to hold and won’t roll off a desk. It can go for 8 hours of use before needing to be recharged, which can be done with a regular Lightning cable.
Unlike the Apple Pencil. the rubber cap is tethered to the stylus.
Offering both a keyboard and case, the Rugged Combo 2 is powered by the iPad itself via a proprietary connector. It will be available for $99.99.
Both accessories will be available this summer in education channels.
