macOS Big Sur Comes With a New Design, Big Safari Update
Right along with all of Apple’s software platforms, macOS is taking a big step forward.
A Better Safari
According to Apple, the new macOS Big Sur features the biggest design upgrade since Mac OS X.
While the interface should still be familiar to Mac users, a number of different areas have received refinements like the Dock and new icons. There is also a new Control Center and a revamped Notification Center.
Safari is also getting some great new features. Tab fans can see more onscreen and you can easily identify them with a favicon. You can also see a quick preview of what’s on the page by hovering over it.
The Safari start page can be customized with an image and sections including iCloud Tabs and Reading List.
Both Maps and Messages are looking much more like their iOS counterparts.
The software will officially arrive to the public sometime this fall.
