Make Your Run or Bike Ride More Fun With Forrest
When you’re out for a run or bike ride, it’s sometimes hard to keep motivated while working out. But the unique app Forrest brings a new level of fun.
The fitness tracking app adds an element of competition. It can turn a run or rid into a race with someone to compete against. You can add virtual opponents, ghost racers, that will run or ride at the speed you choose.
You can even race against yourself in the form of a personal best or other times from previous workouts. During the race, you’ll hear audio prompts on race progress like “Your target hose racer is 12 seconds ahead of you in 2nd place."
All of the workout data can also be exported to Strava or Apple Health.
And the app has just received a recent update to arrive on the Apple Watch.
The watch version of the app is completely standalone so you can leave the iPhone at home.
It offers the same experience as the iPhone version including live stats, race progress, and opponent times along with the same audio prompts. You can also control your workout music from the app.
On the Apple Watch screen, you can also see heart rate and calories burned.
Forrest is designed for the iPhone and can be downloaded now on the App Store for free.
There are no in-app purchase or subscriptions required. That makes it a great choice for anyone looking to add some fun to a solo workout.
