Montblanc is most well-known for its line of high-end writing instruments. And it is jumping into the modern era with its just announced Augmented Paper.

The system can recognize handwriting in 12 different languages. After writing on the included traditional notebook, the notes will can be automatically sent to a mobile device for searching, editing, and sharing.
A built-in battery can provide up to eight hours of continuous use and a week of regular usage. It can store up to 100 pages in its internal storage.
All of your notes are accessible through the Montblanc Hub app. Designed for both the iPhone/iPod touch and all iPad models. When not connected to the pen, you can even create digital notes in the app when needed.
The entire system will be available in October and retail for a high-end price of $725. Buyers will receive the black leather envelope with an electronic digitizer, a notebook with lined paper, and three pen refills. While that’s much more than other competing options, a basic Montblanc pen starts at $225.
