Both the Apple TV and Apple TV 4K can install tvOS 12.

If you haven’t already enabled automatic updates, you can download the software by heading to Settings > System > Software Updates > Update Software. Right the button to update software is the toggle switch to turn on automatic updates.

The biggest addition in the software is only reserved for the Apple TV 4K – Dolby Atmos audio support. Apple promises that there will soon be a large amount of Atmos-supported movies on iTunes.

If you haven’t heard, with compatible sound equipment, Dolby Atmos provides a more immersive experience with sound coming from all directions, even above.

Apple has also added now aerial screensavers from space shot by NASA astronauts.
