Here's the Skinny on the Newest iPhone Concept for 2017

The newest iPhone concept from iDropNews offers perhaps the most pleasant rendering yet for Apple’s upcoming smartphone. It shows just how skinny the handset could be.

Most of the 2017 iPhone rumors continue to show that Apple’s next flagship device will feature a 5.8-inch organic light emitting diode (OLED) display. This model is said to include an “active screen area” of between 5.1 and 5.2-inches.

If this is the case, iDropNews’s newest iPhone concept is almost certainly on point, right down to the removal of the Home button.

Apple’s expected to unveil three new iPhones this fall. The first of these, the “iPhone 8” or “iPhone Edition,” is expected to offer a fresh design featuring an edge-to-edge display from Samsung. Features could include wireless charging, iris scanning for authentication, water resistance improved to IP68, and more.

Updated versions of the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus are also expected. These models will continue to use LCD screens but include some of the features found on the iPhone 8, including wireless charging.
