May 11, 2017

Osmo’s line of wonderful educational games for the iPad continues to grow. The newest addition, Coding Jam, uses music to teach coding fundamentals.

The 23 included coding blocks will help teach coding fundementals through music.

If you’re not familiar with the Osmo, each game combines real-world objects and play along with an iPad. They’re designed for kids 5-12.

Coding Jam offers 23 magnetic coding blocks including walk, jump, grab, loop, sequentials, sleep, and multipliers. Each block is part of a music studio filled with a number of characters and instruments so kids can make their own jams. The music can then be shared with friends and family.

You can purchase Coding Jam now directly from the Osmo site for $53.10. It will start shipping later this month.

The game requires the Osmo Base System, which is sold separately with other games. If you don’t have a base, it can be purchased for an additional $19.

Any Osmo game can be played with an iPad or iPad mini.
