OtterBox Teams with Mophie to Bring Wireless Charging to its Universe Case System
If you just can’t wait for the “iPhone 8” and its rumored wireless charging feature, OtterBox and Mophie have you covered. OtterBox is bringing a number of Mophie wireless charging accessories to its Universe Case system for the iPhone.
Charge Force
Along with an external battery pack, you can also purchase a Charge Force adapter.
If you haven’t heard about the Universe system, it’s a special case for either the iPhone 6s and iPhone 7 lineup.
The big feature is compatibility with a number of special swappable accessories from other third-party companies thanks to a removable accent plate near the bottom the case. Once that plate is removed, the module can slide onto the case.
Hitting the market now are the Charge Force Battery and Charge Force Adapter. Retailing for $69.95, the Charge Force Battery offers an additional 2,500 mAH of power for an iPhone. Along with wireless charging, the battery can also be juiced up with a traditional micro-USB cable.
As you could probably guess by the name, the $49.95 Charge Force Adapter allows the case to be used with any Qi charging base.
