Pandora Unveils Updated Apple Watch App With Offline Playback
Take that, Spotify. Pandora has just updated its app with a redesigned Apple Watch experience highlighted by offline music playback.
Subscribers can now access Pandora music on their watch without an Internet connection. Once the app starts, music will be transferred over to the watch.
Users can also access remote playback controls and give a Thumbs Up for favorite songs from the Now Playing watch screen.
Competitor Spotify released an Apple Watch app in late 2018 but it lacked any offline playback.
Pandora is designed for both the iPhone and all iPad models. The app can be downloaded for free.
You’ll need to have watchOS 5 on your Apple Watch.
Pandora Plus is $4.99 per month and offers unlimited personalized stations and unlimited skips and replay. The premium option is $9.99 per month and allows users to search and play any song.
Both options are also ad-free.
