It’s Pokémon Go’s first anniversary. To celebrate, Niantic has introduced a few new goodies into the still-addictive game.

Through July 24, Pikachu’s wearing Ash’s famous hat in the game. Additionally, a special edition Anniversary Box bundle is available that includes Incubators, Max Revives, Ultra Balls, and a Raid Pass at a discounted price.

In May, Pokémon Go and Ingress developer Niantic announced a new partnership with the Knight Foundation. During a number of community events across the United States, gamers are able to interact with special features.

At last month’s Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC), Apple introduced the company’s new ARKit for iOS 11. The API is all about augmented reality and is designed for developers to bring AR features to both the iPhone and iPad starting this fall. At one of the WWDC sessions, Apple showcased a clip from Pokémon Go using the iOS 11 ARKit.

The entire session video is free to watch here, but you can also view the clip from the game on Reddit (via TouchArcade).

More Pokémon Go features should also arrive in the coming months, as TouchArcade explains:

Furthermore, Pikachu has had his or her fair share of hats over the past year in Pokémon Go, with both Christmas and Birthday attire releasing for the rodent since the game’s launch.

After launching last summer, Pokémon Go grabbed almost $1 billion in revenue before the end of 2016. It can be downloaded now on the App Store for free.
