Applying an iPhone screen protector isn’t exactly an easy task. If it isn’t placed perfectly on the handset, you’ll usually have to live with screen bubbles or a crooked placement. But Kawasaki is looking to make that a thing of the past with its dual-arm duAro robot.

According to IT World, via Kotaku, the machine was recently shown off at Pepper World in Tokyo. If you haven’t heard, Pepper is a robot from firm Softbank that is designed to read human emotions.

As for duAro, as you can see in this video, it can perfectly peel the back of the protector and apply it to an iPhone without any bubbles.

If you’re looking to install a screen protector on your iPhone but don’t want to try it yourself, a number of Apple Stores are already equipped to handle the task.

Starting last year, Apple partnered with Belkin to bring the ScreenCare+ system to some retail locations.

Store employees can install screen protectors with the help of a dedicated machine. If something happens during installation with the machine, Apple will give users a free protector and reinstall it for no charge.

While I’m not a big fan of screen protectors in general, it would definitely be great if anyone could walk into an Apple Store and have a robot install one on their iPhone. And I suspect that could happen sooner rather than later.
