Candidate Crunch is a lighthearted new challenge where you will save the presidential candidates from being smashed by unusual objects. Pianos, anvils, and even the Statue of Liberty fall from the sky straight towards the candidate. Your mission is to save them and score.
In a partnership with Rock the Vote and DoSomething.org, Urthworx launched the game with a dual purpose. In addition to fun and challenging gameplay, Candidate Crunch provides essential voting tools including a polling place locator and election notifications.
Stop the stuff
As the huge, heavy objects fall from the sky, tap anywhere on the screen to stop them from crunching the candidate. The closer the object gets to them, the higher you will score for saving them. Some items should not be tapped, such as bald eagles and pieces of pie. Complete the mission, score as high as you can, and move onto the next level.
Unlock more candidates
From Donald Trump to Super Trump, Hillary Clinton to Hot Dog Hillary, and Bernie Sanders to Headbanger Bernie, there are plenty of silly and unique characters. You can unlock a random candidate with coins you have earned or get more with an in-app purchase.
Visit election central
Powered by Rock the Vote, the election central area of the game provides helpful information. You can review registration deadlines, register to vote online, and find a local polling spot. With state requirements, what you need to bring, and early voting details, this is a handy section.
Candidate Crunch is actually a hilarious game with bubbly music and wacky characters based on the candidates. As you continue to do well and score, you might just make it to the bonus round where the tables are turned. Instead of saving the candidates, you will try to crush them as they run around madly in a group. The fact that the game serves two purposes, makes it even more worth checking out.
Candidate Crunch is designed for iPhone and iPad. It is available for free on the App Store with in-app purchases for additional characters.
