Search for words and do it fast in Verbum
If you enjoy word games, then a new one called Verbum will have you racing against the clock in a fun word search type of challenge. You have a grid of letters and your goal is to create words by connecting those letters. You do not have to search for a list of provided words, just find valid ones and you will score.
Connect in any direction
You just drag through adjacent letters to create your words. You can connect the letters in any direction from simple forward and backward to zig-zags. You have limited time to create each word, so work fast but smart.
Multiply your score
When you create valid words of more than two letters, you get bonus letters that are colored. Use those letters within three rounds to multiply your score. And of course, the longer the word, the better your score.
Extra features
You have options to refresh the letters on the board, remove one that is blocking you, and freeze time for 10 seconds. You can obtain more of these boosts by increasing your score. The game also provides statistics for your longest and most-used words as well as total points. You can choose from English, Danish, Dutch, and German languages.
Verbum is a fun word game with snappy music and nice visuals. I was surprised that a couple of words I created did not work such as “pies” and “ran,” but this will not keep me from playing it and it is supposed to recognize 75,000 English words. So, if you are a word game fan like me, give Verbum a go and see what you think.
