With Ski Season Nearing, Slopes Update Brings Resort Maps, Home Screen Widgets
The ski season almost here. And the of the best ski and snowboarding tracking apps, Slopes, has just been updated with a number of new features.
Ski Resort Information
You can now view trail maps and resort information for more than 1,800 resorts worldwide. Along with elevation and trail difficult breakdown, you’ll also be able to see what to expect from other users of the app.
There is also information about who to contact in case of an emergency at a resort.
The feature takes advantage of the App Clips that allows iOS 14 users to scan a QR code to view the important rest information without downloading the entire app.
Another new addition is real-time resort conditions. The information is based on user ratings in real-time. Data is available from the last 48 hours, 7 days, 14 days, and 30 days.
Finally, anyone with iOS 14 can use the app’s new home screen widget. You can select a favorite resort and view the conditions at any time.
Slopes is designed for the iPhone and all iPad models. It can be downloaded now on the App Store for free.
There is also a subscription to unlock additional features. Those include premium maps, a daily timeline with lift names, interactive replays of your run, and additional live stats.
Premium features are available with a subscription or a day-pass.
