Snapchat World Lenses are here. The popular social network has recently announced a new way for users to enjoy the fun and unique augmented-reality technology.
Filter madness
Building on the popular Lenses for selfies, the new feature brings 3-D objects to the real world.
When using the rear-facing camera, select the Camera screen to see all of the new Lenses that can be placed in the scene.
Interestingly, after placing the object in the scene, you can even walk around it. While rainbows and flowers aren’t exactly up my alley, the technology is definitely impressive and easy to use just like the selfie filters. And I’m sure they’ll become just as popular.
Snapchat is designed for the iPhone/iPod touch and can be downloaded now on the App Store for free.
