Hunters 2, a strong mobile take on the turn-based strategy genre, quietly returned to the App Store Monday.

Strategy game developer Rodeo Games has quietly brought its hit sci-fi mobile game, Hunters 2, back to the App Store after a time of absence.

Originally released over four years ago, Hunters 2 was a watershed moment for mobile gaming, showing off high-end visuals and a solid take on a genre best represented by console and PC games like XCOM.

Rodeo Games, the developer behind mobile strategy games Hunters, Warhammer Quest, and Warhammer 40,000: Deathwatch: Tyranid Invasion, removed Hunters: Episode One and Hunters 2 earlier this year, according to a TouchArcade report, but returned Hunters 2 to iOS gamers yesterday, with new iOS 10 support, minor bug fixes, and support for the widescreen – a must for today’s devices.

Hunters 2 uses the Unreal Engine 4 to power its still-great graphical edge, and has a fun single-player campaign mode, hundreds of weapons and armor, challenging AI and enemy types, and a crafting system that lets you make your own gear.

If you’ve got a spare $4.99, be sure to try this great mobile game now, just in case it disappears again.
