Build Your Family Legacy in The Sims Mobile, Coming Soon to iOS
Fans of EA’s The Sims have been chomping at the bit for more features on their iOS devices. Clamoring for more control over how their Sims look and behave then The Sims FreePlay provides, they’ve been asking for the full desktop experience to go mobile. Developer EA has been paying attention, and recently announced that The Sims Mobile will soon arrive on iOS with exactly what fans have been looking for.
The Challenge of Building a Legacy
The new mobile game appears to be based on The Sims 4 “legacy challenge mode.” In The Sims Mobile, players build and grow their family across multiple generations. As Sims accomplish their career goals and then retire, the player gets Heirlooms that unlock hobbies and careers for future generations. The simulation keeps growing as players guide their Sims through generation after generation. It definitely looks to expand beyond The Sims FreePlay, which has fallen short of expectations despite numerous updates and expansions.
Endless Possibilities for Your Sims
EA truly looks to be bringing the full desktop experience to iOS, or pretty close to it. In The Sims Mobile, players will be able to enjoy most of the features that came along with the desktop version, in a free-to-play environment.
Customize your Sims with distinct appearances, hairstyles, outfits, and accessories. Choose different personality traits and life goals!
Personalize your Sims home layouts and designs, and decorate with a variety of furniture, appliances, decorations, and more.
- The Sims MobileA Hint at True Multiplayer Support?
Host and attend parties with other Sims to socialize, show off your amazing house, earn rewards, and develop new relationships.
- The Sims MobileIn one section of The Sims Mobile reveal site, as well as in the trailer for the game, strong hints at multiplayer support are dropped. The Sims FreePlay had Game Center integration, but the new game looks like it might have even more possibilities, including a full multiplayer experience. That alone would be a compelling-enough feature to encourage me to play this game on a daily basis.
How Soon Is Soon?
EA hasn’t announced the exact release date for The Sims Mobile. The free-to-play game is “coming soon,” and that’s all we know. Check out the announcement trailer below, and visit The Sims Mobile’s web page to sign up for more announcements about the game’s release date.
