IFTTT can create a bridge between different smart home products and services.

If you’re not familiar with IFTTT, also known as “If This, Then That,” you should be. It can be used to create a bridge between the growing number of smart home products and services.

Head over to the Withings Home IFTTT page or download the IF by IFTTT app to create a number of recipes between connected services and the camera. Here are a few examples:

• Reinforce privacy: Turn off Withings Home automatically when I’m home, turn it back on when I’m away using geolocation from my phone. • Make security seamless: When I lock my door with my SmartThings door lock, my Withings Home will turn on. When there is a motion or noise alert, my Philips Hue lights will blink. • Improve home health: When bad air quality is detected, it will turn on my WeMo air purifier automatically or change the color of my Philips Hue light to red.

You can take a quick peek at your house through an iOS device, Apple Watch, and even the Apple TV.

Even though Withings is well known for its line of fitness wearables like the Activite Pop, the Home camera is a great choice for someone looking for an easy way to keep tabs on what’s happening at home.

Along with letting you know of any motion or noise while out of the house, the camera also tracks the indoor air quality. You’ll be notified if a dangerous level of volatile organic compounds are detected.

Parents can also use the Home as a baby monitor. You can be notified if any motion or noise is detected in a nursery. Just press the button on the app to activate the two-way talk feature. Most notably, it can also be customized with music and an LED light sequence to help soothe your baby to sleep.

The Apple Watch app is especially useful for anyone with the wearable device. You can view a live stream, scroll through thumbnails of alerts, and even begin the lullaby mode. Here’s an interactive preview from our sister site WatchAware.

And anyone with an Apple TV can even take a look at the camera’s feed from the set-top streaming box.

You can snag the Withings Home now from Amazon for $193.95.
