In November, the iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus, and iPhone X were the three top-selling smartphones in the United States. The iPhone X also had positive debuts in its first month elsewhere, according to new research from Kantar.

During its first month of release, the iPhone X scored the No. 3 spot in smartphone sales in the U.S. In Japan, the 5.8-inch device was No. 1. Meanwhile, in urban China, the iPhone X was exceeding expectations.

As Kantar’s Dominic Sunnebo explains:

Apple was riding on the back of some momentum before the iPhone X release but demand for latest model in urban China has been staggering given its price point.

Meanwhile, in Great Britain, Apple achieved its highest share in more than three years in November. The iPhone X was the best-selling model in the country in November, with a 14.4 percent share of sales.

All three 2017 iPhones were first announced in September. The iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus launched in late September, while the iPhone X officially arrived at the beginning of November. At a starting price of $999, it’s the most expensive iPhone to date.
