TwIM Turns Twitter Direct Messages Into Instant Messaging
TwIM is a new third-party app for Twitter users. Unlike others on the App Store, TwIM changes how you use Twitter Direct Messages.
Rethinking Direct Messages
I use Twitter a lot, mainly to promote my AppAdvice and MakeUseOf stories and highlight those of others. On occasion, I also use the social network to introduce myself to app developers and accessory manufacturers.
Until now, my experience with direct messages has been limited; it rarely moves beyond requesting or offering contact information for further communication through email or messaging. The reason: Direct messaging through Twitter seems like a detached exercise, at best.
With TwIM, everything I dislike about Twitter Direct Messaging has melted away. It offers Apple Siri support, along with push notifications. The app also works with 3D Touch, making the process of sending direct messages speedier and more enjoyable for my iPhone.
Here’s a quick look at TwIM in action:
First look at TwIM
Just Like Regular Instant Messaging
Communicate just as you would on iMessage - except this are your Twitter contacts. Real-time with notifications too.
TwIMoji
Turn your face emojis into something called TwIMoji for added fun.
We’ll continue to follow TwIM. In the meantime, you can download the app on the App Store.
