Some of the new creatures coming to the game include Pokémon from the Pokémon Gold and Pokémon Silver video games including Chikorita, Cyndaquil, and Totodile.

Gamers will encounter all of the new Pokémon while exploring the great outdoors.

Along with the new Pokémon, the update will also offer players new evolution options to change their Pokémon into ones that were originally discovered in the Johto region.

When tracking down Pokémon, there will also be two new berries to take advantage of – the Nanab and Pinpap. The first berry will slow down a Pokémon’s movements while the Pinpap will double the amount of candy you receive if the next catch attempt is successful.

Finally, trainers can also further customize their avatar with a selection of new hats, shirts, pants, and other items.
Pokémon Go is designed for the iPhone/iPod touch and all iPad models. It can be downloaded now for free.

Originally arriving last summer, the game quickly rocketed to the top of the App Store charts. In just a little more than six months in 2016, the game netted more than $1 billion in revenue. An Apple Watch version of the game arrived in December.

The game was also named as one of AppAdvice’s Best Free iPhone Apps of 2016.
