Typewise Keyboard Wants to Help You Say Goodbye to Typos
Third-party keyboards have been available for the iPhone and iPad for more than five years. While there have been a number of great options available, most have usually offered small improvements to the usual Apple keyboard.
But the new Typewise Keyboard is offering a major rethinking of the iPhone keyboard with a big focus on eliminating typos.
You’ll definitely notice the unique design of the keyboard. All of the keys are a hexagon shape with spaces in the middle. The design is optimized for typing with two thumbs.
Thanks to the key design, the keyboard is 70 percent larger than the usual option.
The other part of the equation is an AI that provides autocorrection while typing. Unlike most other keyboards, all of the AI runs offline and you don’t need to provide Full Access to the keyboard. That means whatever your typing will stay on the device.
Swipe gestures are also a big part of the keyboard. Swipe up on one letter to make it a capital. A swipe left will delete text. If you happen to delete too much, a swipe right will restore the text.
Typewise Keyboard is designed for the iPhone. It can be downloaded now on the App Store for free.
A subscription is required to unlock additional features including unlimited languages, smarter word suggestions and corrections, 16 themes, text replacement, and more.
Typewise Pro is $1.99 per month or $9.49 per year. There is a 30-day free trial available.
You can also purchase lifetime access for $24.99.
